BIOGRAPHY

Known for his powerful dynamic drumming with U.K. rockers Pitchshifter since 1999, Jason Bowld is a man of many talents. With Pitchshifter he toured the world, playing over 20 different countries at a Stadium level - and has continued to do so with other artists over the past ten years. In December 2010, Jason was asked to stand in - with literally days to spare - for Bullet for my Valentine's U.K. headline arena tour - with no rehearsals!
2011 saw Jason tour the U.K. and Europe with Killing Joke, Bill Bailey and Pop will eat itself to name a few and he recorded drums for PWEI's new album as one of his Remote sessions.

In 2005 Jason co-wrote , performed and produced two albums for his critically, acclaimed side-project band - This is Menace, which featured over 19 guest vocalists from bands such as Killing Joke, Hundred Reasons, Funeral for a Friend and Fightstar and recently, has co-written and performed on an album featuring HR vocalists Colin Doran entitled 'They fell from the sky'.

As well as standing in for Bullet for my Valentine, Jason has also stood in - at very short notice - for Fightstar.

In other genres of music, Jason has gigged and recorded with EMF guitarist Ian Dench and singer Amanda Ghost which in turn has earned him respect from U2 and Depeche Mode producers Dave McCracken and Steve Fitzmaurice. Personal requests from Sony BMG to record for up and coming bands has reinforced Jason's efficiency in the studio, where he has been known to record drum parts for albums within three days. This positive work ethic is further echoed by other international producers that Jason has worked with such as Machine, Ulrich Wilde, Al Clay, Andy Sneap and Sterling Winfield.

On the drum clinic front, Jason has great experience playing and teaching at most of the main drum festivals over the past ten years from Drumfest, Drummer live to Frankfurt Musicmesse and UDE. His passion for education is further backed up by his tuition column in Rhythm magazine and contributions for the latest Rockschool syllabus of which he has written and performed tracks for.

At present, Jason is preparing for a tour and album launch for a new top-secret Metal band which includes some high profile personnel.

Other instruments and skills include guitar, programming, sequencing, percussion and backing vocals.
